A little slice of Heaven

She spent the summer of 2003 with my family training for basketball and our families have been friends since. As luck would have it, she had relocated home from years on Ibiza & Mallorca just in time for us to come and visit. I stayed with her family once in the past but they have now moved our to a farm and were kind enough to host us for a night.
We passed an idyllic evening together.
Cooking dinner.

Lingering over a delicious dinner prepared by Lieset of salmon, vegetables and Chilean Chardonnay (my new favorite but unfortunately difficult to find in France!)
Retiring to the library.
When the night couldn’t get any better, her father brought out a basket of kittens.
Sleeping soundly in the silent countryside.(use your imagination, no picture)
Joel was up early to help feed the animals.
We all enjoyed breakfast together before taking a few final photos.
And a last walk around the farm.
Thank you so much for your hospitality. We hope to see you all again very soon.

Looks like great time, plus a little country living, but is last photo showing Joel’s latest fashion trend?? =)
Yes! Joel and Lieset’s dad tend to button their sweaters wrong (:
Basket of kittens. waaaay too precious!
The kittens really did set the evening over the edge. Have been catching up on your blog- DF. Hope you’re feeling better!
