A little slice of Heaven

It’s hard to believe that Lieset and I became friends almost a decade ago. She spent the summer of 2003 with my family training for basketball and our families have been friends since. As luck would have it, she had relocated home from years on Ibiza & Mallorca just in time for us to come and visit. I stayed with her family once in the past but they have now moved our to a farm and were kind enough to host us for a night.

We passed an idyllic evening together.

Cooking dinner.

Lingering over a delicious dinner prepared by Lieset of salmon, vegetables and Chilean Chardonnay (my new favorite but unfortunately difficult to find in France!)

When the night couldn’t get any better, her father brought out a basket of kittens.

Joel was up early to help feed the animals.
