Smile for the Camera

The joke was that she looked normal until moment the photo was taken at which point she became this misshapen monster. When we watched that episode Joel joked that it was like me and unfortunately he wasn’t too far from the truth.
For whatever reason I have never taken good photos. When I know they are being taken I become very awkward. Even when I don’t know they are being taken I end up looking strange. One of two things are true: either I am not photogenic or I am actually just very unattractive.
Yes, it is strange that I am choosing to publish a blog in which I post photos of myself.
Fortunately for me I have a very beautiful friend who is excellent at taking photos and she is more than willing (perhaps she feels called) to help me take better photos. Thanks to Michelle I no longer stand like a wrestler by default when taking a photo. She still has a lot of work to do but we’ve made progress.
On a side note, whenever Michelle and I are out in public we are harassed by strangers for being twins. While that is extremely flattering, the fact is that we do not look the same. We have the same color hair. It also makes me wonder if actual twins receive that unwanted attention. Do you?
Michelle & Derek has us over for a delicious dinner last night and some of the best conversation we’ve had in a while. They are such kind and intelligent friends and we are very thankful for them.
Michelle gave me another lesson last night and as you can tell, I am a very quick learner. And, because I have no shame, I’ve included the photos below.
Just ask if you want me to frame them for you.
